Fields of Yellow

Last weekend we went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival here in Washington and we took so many pictures I had to split it into two post. So look for that sometime next week! First we went to where daffodils were being farmed and it was SO beautiful! Sunshine yellow as far as the eye can see! I was in heaven. Daffodils are in my top 5 favorite flowers so I was happy to be surrounded by them. 

As this was a spur of the moment trip, neither Lindsay nor I had shoes that would be okay walking in the mud so we stopped at Walmart and found matching leopard print rainboots on sale. Pretty snazzy heh?! I am so glad that we got them too because it had rained hard the night before and mud was unavoidable. My pants were all splattered by the time we left. 

I hope you all have a great weekend planned and enjoy some chocolate from the Easter Bunny! After 40 days with no dessert, I know I will!
