I talk about (and wear) pink a lot. If you search “Pink” here on NorthwestBlonde.com, you get 31 pages of results. Yeah…
However, I also understand that most people don’t want to re-enact Legally Blonde on a daily basis. But that doesn’t mean a girly girl can’t indulge in her favorite color even while she creeps closer and closer to 30, right? Here are 3 ways to wear pink as an adult and still get taken seriously!
1) Wear Blush Pink
Especially if you’re rocking pink to the office, opt for a blush pink or any lighter shade. Blush pink, as a pastel, is closer to a neutral and much easier for most of us to style with what’s already in your closet. You can swap blush pink in for white in almost any instance. Almost. Millennial pink is also an excellent option for everyday wear.
2) Add a Hot Pop of Color to Your Feet
If you can’t stay away from Elle Woods’ favorite shade, keep it smallish. I highly recommend wearing hot pink on your feet as a fun pop of color. One of my co-workers did this earlier in the week and heard a ton of compliments about her “fun shoes”. Hot pink is manageable in small doses for most of us. Leave the head-to-toe look for people under the age of 10.

3) Accessorize Your Favorite Shade
The third way to wear pink as an adult is to simply accessorize with the color. This could mean anything from earrings to handbags to shoes, like we talked about above. Literally from head-to-toe accessory-wise. This is an easy way I like to add a feminine flair to anything from simple jeans and a tee to my neutral work wear.
On another note, did you know that Legally Blonde was a musical and was on MTV?! Where was I in 2005?! Needless to say, I’ve been listening to it on repeat since last week.
