Happy Friday all! I, like the rest of you who had this past Monday off, have been off kilter all week. I totally forgot to hit ‘post’ on my regular Wednesday post like a dolt #faecpalm. Regardless, we made it to the weekend and it’s going to be the first cooler one we’ve had in a while, which brings me to today’s topic.
If you’ve been around these parts of the internet for a bit, you’ll know I’m a big fan of summer. Fall means that winter is coming so I’m generally not a fan. However, in the spirit of being positive, I’ll say one thing about Fall: it’s the advent of Knits Season.
Knits Season is what I’m calling the time of year when you get to wear sweaters and cozy chunky knits without risking heat stroke. You can finally start layering again and play with some darker moodier colors versus summertime brights. It isn’t yet so cold, you feel like a marshmallow anytime you leave the house but the layers are necessary for the mornings and evenings.
J.Jill sent me this knit topper from their September Collection and I’ve been loving it. I wore it over the weekend when it started to cool down and have since brought it to my office for extra warmth (anyone else work in a refrigerator?). It’s warm and soft and I know you’ll be seeing more of it as the season progresses.
Of course, like most things that last for eight to nine months, I’ll be sick of it by February but for now, Happy Knits Season everyone!
Until next time,
