Remember on Monday how I said it was unseasonably warm for this time of year? Well, scratch that.
Talk about eating my words. I’ve been scraping a solid layer of ice off my car since Monday morning. While I’m 100% a warm weather person, cooler temperatures allow me to break out some of my favorite coats. I’ve mentioned on here before that I love a statement or colorful coat for winter. Since we are all wearing them, it’s one way to translate your own personal style even though most people on the street won’t see your full outfit.
This is one of my favorite fall coats for several reasons (it’s practically perfect in every way). First off, the practical side, it’s a warm coat. Second, both it’s print and colors are perfect for the season. For whatever reasons, fall tends to bring out our inner need to wear plaid. Mixing the hunter green and hints of orange hits not only that desire but also matches the colors of the fall as well as hitting that plaid sweet spot.
What’s your perfect fall coat formula? Is it a warm teddy bear coat that’s just oh so cozy? Is it a classic trench you can layer over anything? Is it a quilted parka because you just need it to be warm? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
