Oh summer, how I love you. I feel more than ready to lean into all things summer. Give me the outdoor concerts, beach picnics, and s’ mores roasting. This weekend we really got to enjoy Seattle summer by picnicking in the park by the beach on Friday, hanging out in the backyard on Saturday, and hitting up the farmer’s market for lunch on Sunday. (We considered having a fire and s’ mores but Stranger Things season 3 won out instead.)

The weather was fantastic, hovering right around 75 and sunny. If you’re ever going to visit the PNW, come this time of year because it really doesn’t get any better.

Vineyard Vines Seersucker Pants (on sale!)

This was my first purchase from Vineyard Vines, I’m very happy with how it all shaked out. These are the seersucker wide leg crop pants (a mouthful) and if you need to wear pants in the summer, these are just lovely. They are so comfortable and basically, don’t wrinkle (my golden standard in clothing). I’ve been wearing them with basic white tees while mommy-ing and it makes me feel more dressed up than I would in jeans.

For whatever reason, seersucker isn’t much of a trend on the West coast. I really don’t know why because this fabric feels amazing and looks really cute with other summery tops.

I ordered these seersucker pants while I was pregnant so I was guessing a little with the sizing but it ended up working out perfectly. I ordered a size 6 which was my normal size pre-pregnancy and they fit perfectly. I still have some baby weight to lose but I think that they will still fit well afterward. They have some give but not a ton. They are also currently 30% off if you want to snag a pair yourself

Eyelet Button Down

This is such an ancient piece in my closet. I got it from H&M at least 10 years ago and I’ve yet to find anything exactly the same. It’s pretty basic too. This is an eyelet boyfriend button down in 100% cotton that I have in constant rotation during the summer months.

This is the closest that I’ve found to my shirt but this one is way more feminine and put together (not that is a bad thing). I honestly considered getting this one for myself as well this summer but #NoShopJuly so…

Old Navy Chambray Espadrilles

I’ve written about these espadrilles before and I just need to mention again how comfortable they are given the price. These are only $40 (and often go on sale) and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from them but I stand corrected. They have a soft insole and aren’t so high that they are uncomfortable to walk in. A cute little summer shoe without spending a fortune.
