Goodbye J.Crew

what I wore March 2019 - Northwest Blonde - Seattle style blog

I’m sure that many of you have heard that as of Monday J.Crew filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. While so much is still up in the air with what will end up happening to the brand (bankruptcy doesn’t normally mean gone for good), I wanted to touch on a few things that have been on my mind since hearing the news.

First off, I wanted to first say a massive thank you to the brand. Their clothing has been an integral part of my brand here on Northwest Blonde. Also, the company and my local J.Crew stores have given me many opportunities throughout my time blogging. It was a big moment for me the first time I received an email from a J.Crew representative wanting to work with me. As a smaller blogger in a big city, it really meant the world when a national brand wanted to work with me.

Second, I plan to continue shopping with them until they close their doors for good if that ever happens. Right now all their stores are shuttered but J.Crew, J.Crew Factory, and Madewell’s websites are all still up and running like normal.

Finally, here’s a look down memory lane with some of my favorite posts with J.Crew. There’s been more than once that I’ve just accidentally ended up in head to toe J.Crew brands. I hope that this isn’t the end of one of my favorite retailers. Where else will this classic preppy girl go for all her striped shirts, loafers, and gingham needs? 😉
