Father’s Day Gift Guide

click to shop

Father’s Day is just around the corner (June 21) so it’s time to think about how you want to celebrate the father figures in your life. This year will be special because we’ll have Andrew’s family in town for the weekend so there will be three generations of Creighton men together for Father’s Day (Teddy, Andrew, and his father).

We don’t normally do big gifts for holidays like this one. Teddy will probably get Andrew a little something for Father’s Day but we save larger gifts for birthdays. However, I know just how hard it can be to shop for men so I wanted to pull together a gift guide for the men in your life. Andrew is the exception to that rule because he doesn’t shop for himself so I just keep a running list of anything he expresses an interest in for gifting holidays. But like I said, he’s the exception so here are some Father’s Day gift ideas that are all around $150 and under. Hopefully, it will give you some gift ideas for men that you’ll be able to use now for Father’s Day but also reference later for other holidays!

Father’s Day Gift Guide Under $200

Personalized Wallet

Mark and Graham have a large selection of personalized gift ideas for dad but I really liked this slim wallet that you can have personalized. I know that Andrew will let his wallet fall to pieces before he replaces it, so now is a great opportunity to refresh your man’s wallet if needed.

Sperry Original Boat Shoes

These are a classic staple for men that are great for the summertime whether they are boating or not. I will say that my father actually prefers the ‘Billifish’ boat style for actual boating.

Apple AirPods

The latest and greatest in wireless headphones are the Airpod Pros but if you aren’t willing to shill out $250 on headphones, the regular AirPods are said to be very nice.

I Love Dad with the Hungry Caterpillar

If it’s his first Father’s Day as a dad, your little one can get him something special to remember the occasion. Don’t forget to write an inscription from you or your baby. Ted always leaves his hand turkey signature on all of his gifts to Andrew

Personalized Tie, Socks, & Pocket Square Set

If my father was still working, this would have been a nice gift set for him. If he’s wearing a suit five days a week, this set will give him a matching tie, socks, and pocket square. You can have these personalized with his initials as well.

Versa Smart Watch

If he loves tech and gadgets, you can get him a Fitbit Versa smartwatch for $160. I’ve considered getting one of these for Andrew so many times but he can’t wear a watch for parts of his day so I haven’t pulled the trigger just yet. I read a couple of reviews online and people seem to like this even better than the Apple Watch

Personalized Grilling Set

If you have a grillmaster in your life, would they just love this personalized grill set?! I found this one on Etsy but there are a bunch of different sellers offering something similar. I think the carrying handle is just a great (and slightly humorous) touch.

Rains Field Backpack

For the commuter in your life, this backpack looks really nice. I’m not a huge backpack person myself but here in Seattle, they are super popular. This one is sleek and minimalist (love it) but also functional with a laptop sleeve, a couple of compartments, and is waterproof

Retro Patagonia Pullover

I remember my dad having a pullover very similar to this one back in the 90’s that he used to wear all the time. I might get him a new one since this retro pullover is back in style

Record Player

Another retro gift that he might love. I like the idea of getting someone a record along with this record player for a full and completely functioning gift.

Philips Sunlight Alarm Clock

Andrew has one of these and loves it. Personally I don’t like it because it works way too well on me. Especially in the winter when it tends to be dark and grey at all hours, this sunlight alarm clock makes waking up slightly less jarring.

Veja Sneakers

These are the ‘it’ sneakers for cool hip dads. They have been selling out fast so you can find more styles and sizes available here.

Pops Sweatshirt

There are so many things to like about this sweatshirt! First, it’s a sweet way to be a proud dad without having a “World’s Best Dad” mug. It’s got that hip cool dad vibe to go with your Veja sneakers. They are also donating 100% of net proceeds from these sweatshirts to the nonprofit Father’s Incorporated.

Small Space Gas Grill

Another gift idea for a future grill master. This grill has over 2,000 reviews and is just over $100. What I like most about it? It has a smaller footprint than your standard grill so it would be nice for smaller spaces, backyards, or patios.

Eco Spot Alarm Clock

If he wants an alarm clock that will also be a personal assistant and tell you about the news and your commute, Amazon came out with this new Eco alarm clock. It works like or with Alexa to be a personal assistant to your morning routine.

Bonobo Performace Polo

Bonobo has been a favorite of Andrew’s for a while. They make clothes that fit his long and slender frame where so many others have fallen short (see what I did there). I’ve read great reviews of these polos and am planning on getting a couple for Andrew soonish.

Cole Haan Sneakers

Now that I have a pair of these for myself, I’ll probably be getting Andrew a pair as well. They are so lightweight and incredibly comfortable. I like that this style for men is more formal than your standard casual white sneakers. In a casual city like Seattle, these can almost instantly dress up an outfit. They are currently on sale and available in brown, black, navy, and white.

Baseball Cap

When in doubt, you can always get dad a new baseball cap with his favorite team featured on it. I’ve given up giving Andrew baseball hats from our alma mater since he’s lost every single one in various windy situations.

Herschel Supply Backpack

This is a backpack that is insanely popular here in Seattle. You can see them on almost every street corner during commuting hours (pre-Covid 19). The entire line of Herschel Supply products are currently on sale at Nordstrom if you or your man have been eyeing something. This backpack is on sale for $66 when it normally retails for over $100.

Bonobo Chino Shorts

Another great buy from Bonobo. Andrew has their chino pants and wore them into pieces.  These shorts will be a great alternative for casual summer days. These are current;y on sale for under $50

Ray-Ban Sunglasses

I think that Ray-Ban sunglasses look good on absolutely everyone! My dad has been wearing them for decades and isn’t likely to stop anytime soon. You can find them discounted at Nordstrom Rack almost year-round. Personally, I say go for the classic wayfarer style or the clubmaster.

Kiehl’s Men’s Grooming Starter Kit

I’ve heard that the Kiehl’s Facial Fuel line is great and this set comes with two of those products, the scrub for before shaving and the moisturizer for after, plus a couple more products for a close comfortable shave.

Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA

Another great gift for new dads or soon to be dads. I’m sad to say that the title of the book is probably true for most people.

Yeti Mug

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, give the gift of a Yeti mug and they’ll fall in love. These mugs have over 12,000 reviews on Amazon! Andrew loves his and doesn’t go a single day without it. You can also buy them a coffee gift card and stick it into the mug as an extra surprise.

Bluetooth Speaker

I got this Bluetooth waterproof speaker for Andrew years ago and we’re still using it almost every day. It sounds great and is compatible with Apple and Android phones

Kindle Paperwhite

Another great gift that I’ve mentioned before and will probably mention again. I just got my dad a new one after his was lost and he loves the upgrades from the standard Kindle to the Kindle Paperwhite. It syncs up with your Amazon account and most library systems so you can quickly and easily get library books directly onto your device.

Wireless Phone Charger

These wireless phone chargers are so cool and would make a great gift for any techy. They sit the phone upright so it would be nice docked on someone’s desk or workstation.

JetBoil Coffee Maker

Andrew has this and considers it a ‘must-have’ item for camping and backpacking. I’m pretty sure that his dad also has one for when he goes out hunting and fishing. If the men in your life go out into the wilderness for any reason, get them one of these so they can make hot coffee on their adventures.

North Face TheromoBall Eco Vest

While we may be in summer now, the men in your life will love these vests once the weather starts to cool again. The North Face makes great gear for cool weather that is also functional. This vest is made from post-consumer recycled materials and packs down super small for travel. It also comes in a coat here.

Ugg Slippers

When in doubt, get dad a new pair of slippers for around the house. These are always a favorite with over 1,000 positive reviews.
