It Cosmetics Celebreation Foundation Review

Hi guys!

If you saw my Drugstore-Ulta-Sephora Mega Haul post from this past Makeup Monday, you will have seen that I recently purchased the It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation

I heard about this product through the Youtube Channel of Bunny (aka Grav3yardgirl) and after some more research thought to give it a go. It is supposed to be a powder/mineral foundation that gives full and long lasting matte coverage. I bought it in hopes that it will be a summer alternative to my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear (aka cemented-on-never-coming-off-makeup).

The packaging is a sleek and matte black compact. They also have a similar foundation that gives a dewy/illuminating finish that has white packaging. I also got their duo airbrush foundation concealer brush to apply it.

Let’s get started!
First off, no makeup face. I have a whole host of face demons and redness going on right now that I want to cover up. I started with a freshly washed, moisturized, and primed face.

Without any makeup on you can see the spots, redness, and acne scarring.

After applying the foundation in circular motions a majority of the redness is gone but still looks natural like skin.

It covered most of the redness and acne in the first application. For the more stubborn spots, I used the concealer side of the brush for pin point concealing with more of the same product. It built up coverage nicely without becoming cakey or noticeably built up.

Here is the whole face complete. Overall I liked the coverage and weight. I was able to get a full matte coverage without feeling like I had a ton of product on my face.
It wore pretty well throughout the day. Here is a shot of both sides of my face after a long hot day. I only used one oil blotting sheet throughout the entire day. The coverage was decent even after the day was finished although it had started to break down around my nose, mainly where my sunglasses sit, and on my chin. Those were the spots that I had added the most product because I needed the coverage and also the spots where I get the most oily.

Here is one last look at the initial coverage.
Overall, I am very impressed with this powder foundation. I had tried others in the past with no luck (including Bare Minerals) but this time it looks like I have found something that works for me. Also it takes about 30 seconds to apply an entire face of airbrushed foundation. What’s there not to love about that?
