Happy Friday all!

I hope you all have wonderful and fun weekend plans. Here in the Pacific Northwest it is looking like it is going to be sunny and hot.

A couple days ago, I went on a day trip to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA. If any of you can get there (or have been there), I highly recommend that you make a trip out of it. The outside of the museum alone is a trip within itself. With the glass bridge that hosts all sorts of Chihuly  masterpieces plus flames of glass in reflection pools near the entrance, the Museum of Glass is a beautiful spot. And we haven’t event discussed the hot shop within the museum itself! With museum admission, you can see all the exhibitions and galleries within the museum proper but the big attraction is to see the artists make glass pieces right in front of your eyes! The last time I went into the museum, I watched them make a hamburger and donuts out of glass!

Have you been to any local museums in your area lately?

Let me know where!

I’m always interested in knowing good local museums or galleries when I travel!

I went to school in Tacoma and loved getting free student admission there! I don’t know if they still have it, but my favorite was the glass recreations of drawings that little kids had done, so cute! I need to go back, the Chihuly exhibit in the Seattle Center is so expensive!

Ahh another 253 native! The Seattle Center glass garden is really expensive especially when we are used to the outdoor installations at the Tacoma Glass Museum. Thanks for reading Mattie!
