So when west coast beaches are brought up in conversation, most people tend to envision the sandy beaches of southern California. Well in the Pacific Northwest our beaches aren’t quite like those. We mostly have pebble beaches full of rocks and seaweed. While you will rarely catch people sunbathing on PNW beaches, this summer has been a different story. With the heat we’ve been experiencing, beach sunbathers are now a regular occurrence.
I’m not going to lie, I don’t normally attempt to look stylish or cute when I head to the beach or pool. I’m mostly concerned that I have all my supplies (ie, sunscreen, books, iPod) and provisions (water, iced tea, and snacks) to get me through an afternoon sunbathing. A cover up for me can consist of anything from an oversized shirt and shorts to a simple romper or t-shirt dress. What is your beach day uniform?

I am with you, I am not into looking cute when I am at the beach. I have to carry all of my son’s toys and snacks and everything else that I tend to not worry about what I am wearing.
