Summer sun and shorts go hand in hand allll summer long. However I was never the first to leap at the opportunity to wear shorts as I was self conscious of my legs. However I’ve now realized that I was simply picking the wrong shorts for my shape. With a petite frame that includes thighs and a booty, I wanted to wear the trendy short shorts of the moment. I’ve since learned to pick what I want out of my shorts, then pick out styles accordingly.
Want to add leg length? Short shorts are an option. For those of us that aren’t super comfortable with the style, try pairing shorts and wedges. Make those wedges nude and you will give any model a run for her money on leg length.
Want more coverage? Bermuda shorts can be the answer. However if you don’t want that much length, make sure to check for inseam length in regular styles. Many will vary in length or have the option or choosing longer inseams within a single style. I like these ones here as they have the option for 3″, 4″, 5″, 7″, and 9″ inseams.
Don’t want anything too tight? Boyfriend styles are right up your alley. You can also try buying your favorite non-bf style pair a size or two up for a more feminine cut without the tight feeling.
