New York Fashion Week (fashion month in general) is the end-all be-all of upcoming trends. The runways and showrooms determine what is in and what is out (think of Heidi Klum saying that 😉 ). Here are a few of the trends that you should know about, both for spring/summer and the upcoming fall/winter!

See Now, Buy Now: Rebecca Minkoff, Coach, Michael Kors, and DVF only to name a few of the designers who decided to do things a little differently this fashion week. Rather than make their customers wait a year to get their hands the collections, they presented pieces that can be purchased now which is revolutionary in the world of fashion. This was possibly one of the biggest shakeups of the season and the growing influence of social media is often credited for the change.

A Little Bit Darker: Don’t worry about getting rid of those faux furs you picked up for this winter just yet. Faux furs will be back in action for winter 2016/2017 just a little darker and shaggier than before.
