Sunshine Yellow

how to wear yellow and black togetherAs today marks two months until Andrew and I get married (eek!), I’ve started planning for the tropical trip we are taking afterwards. As I don’t have many summer clothes I’ve begun picking out some pieces to take, this dress being one of them. However since we’ve experienced record highs here in Seattle, I was able to wear them now before hand.

What is it about a certain color that can seriously impact your mood and emotions? Wearing the color yellow never fails to make me smile and put me into a sunny mood. I truly believe that the clothing we wear has an impact on us in larger ways than we give credit. This alone is reason enough to really think about what you’re wearing. Feeling down so you reach for your sweats? Try to avoid the instinct and slip into your favorite dress or wear your favorite lipstick. Try to reach for a color that gives you joy. This alone could brighten your mood more than you think.
