Blushing

spring office styleI love wearing the color pink. The feminine nature of the color always has me at hello. However wearing pink as an adult in an office setting can often be hard to get away with while simultaneously being taken seriously. Well, it’s time to fix this puzzle! Rose Quartz is the color of the year so we should find ways to wear the sweet hue in all areas of our life! Keep reading for four ways to wear pink to the office.

Stick with Blush

Save the Barbie pink for the weekends and stick with lighter blush pink tones at the office. As it’s closer to a neutral white or cream, it’s easier on the eyes and less likely to create any unpleasant disturbance.

It’s also much easier to find work wear staples that come in a light blush pink color. You know I love this blouse and get tons of wear from it as I can pair it with suit pants, skirts, and even denim.

Accessorize

One of the easiest ways to wear pink in an office environment is to accessorize! A blush pink handbag, painted pink nails, or a new pink lipstick are great ways to show your feminine side while still #girlbossing your way through your Monday meetings. A statement necklace never looks amiss as a third piece and is one (good) way to get people to remember you!

Keep It Simple

When wearing brighter shades of pink, a little goes a long way. If you want to rock your favorite pink pumps, pair them with an otherwise monochromatic outfit. All grey with blush pink accents looks polished and professional with still revealing your personality. The same can easily be done with black and white.

Work in a more creative space? Try pairing pink with blues and greens. You may be surprised at how lovely those colors look together.

Put It On Your Feet

If you want to make a subtle statement, wear statement shoes. Pink pumps are not only fun to wear but will create a statement look without overwhelming your overall look. This is a great way to literally dip your toe into a new style.

Try a blush pink pump rather than your usual nude or go with your favorite pink heels next time you wear wide leg pants. The pink peeking out as you walk will keep the pep in your step!

I could not agree more about wearing blush tones instead of hot pink for work! It is more office friendly than a bright pink! Your stripe skirt looks great with it!
