Getting the Most Out of Cyber Monday

Happy Cyber Monday babes! I hope you all had a wonderful relaxing holiday weekend. If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen that while working in corporate retail means you don’t get Black Friday off, you at least get free Starbucks! But now to business!

If you’re anything like me, you avoid any shopping mall like the plague during the fiscal fourth quarter. But how do you get your shopping done without actually putting on real pants and leaving your house? By shopping online of course!

Which means that today, Cyber Monday, is your day to shine my friends! Get all that holiday gift shopping done now and with the money you saved from all those deals, get something for yourself too.

As a online shopping aficionado, here are some shopping tips to get the most out of your Cyber Monday deals (along with some of the sales worth shopping!)

FREE SHIPPING

One of my biggest pet peeves is having to pay for shipping. Silly, I know, but it bothers me. I’m already spending my time and money on your site, please have complimentary shipping (both ways ideally). It’s often an unexpected or unthought of expense that you have to calculate into your budget. However during Cyber Week, most retailers will include free shipping with their deals and steals, so make sure to take advantage (or at least look for a coupon code!)

GET AT LEAST 30% OFF

If you are purchasing a full priced item, I want to be able to get at least 30%-40% off in order to make it worth it. It’s the biggest shopping weekend of the year, so please don’t stint me on the savings. There are a handful of stores that are currently having 40%-50% off their entire site! Now that’s the savings I’m talking about!

PLAN AHEAD

What are the high priced gifts that you’d like to save a couple dollars on? Now is the time to buy! Lots of high end stores/gadgets/toys are on special sales right now but will be back to regular prices for the rest of December. I’m looking at you J.Crew!

EBATES, EBATES, EBATES!

If you aren’t using Ebates, you need to get on it now! Essentially, Ebates gives you cash back for shopping online. Now normally, I’d be the first to say if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is but Ebates is the real deal! I’ve been using them for years and 100% stand behind them.
