Yes, adding a holiday red lip into your makeup routine can totally makeup up (see what I did there) for lack of time everywhere else. If you’re a regular Northwest Blonde reader, then you know how I feel about this. For newer readers, welcome, and yes, I think red lipstick is a style cure-all.
It adds instant glam to even a basic tee and jeans. So why would we not whip out our favorite tubes during the most wonderful time of the year?! If you are looking for the perfect red for this holiday season (and beyond), here are my most used lipsticks!
MAC ‘Doubonnet’
This is one of my most worn lipsticks here on the blog and you can get a good look of the color on this post. It is a great shade of red on almost all skin tones and makes your teeth look extra white because of the blue undertones!
bareMinerals ‘Naughty’
This is a recent love and has been my most worn lipstick this month. It’s a limited edition color, so I highly recommend you run out and grab a tube (or two) because it’s the best liquid lipstick I’ve ever tried. And as the beauty edition here on NorthwestBlonde.com, I’ve tried my fare share of liquid lipsticks that just can’t hold a candle to this formula. Nars ‘Cruella’
Anything Nars is just the most luxe there is in makeup from my point of view. This matte red is a true blue red that makes your teeth look ultra white and lasts all day long without feeling gross on the lips. I have a sample tube that I’ve been rationing because it’s such a lovely shade and I don’t want to run out before the end of the year. Trust me when I say, applying and wearing this lipstick always makes me feel expensive, even when I’m wearing TargetStyle head to toe!
