Hey babes! As you read this, I’m probably at 30,000 feet headed back North from a visiting my family in Texas. Summer travel is upon us and I’m pretty sure it’s time to revisit one of my top read posts, A Fashionista’s Guide to Traveling in Style, but this time it’s the Summer Travel Edition!
While most people may be staggering through TSA at 5am looking like they just rolled out of bed (granted they probably did), you as a #ClassicStyleGirl don’t have to follow their lead. Planning your outfit ahead of time is crucial to being the most stylish lady strolling through the airport.
While layering is a must for winter travel, don’t count it out during the summer months either. Temperatures can vary in between home, the airport, the plane, and your final destination. Having those layers with you means you can simply add or subtract as needed without too much difficulty. It also means more space in your suitcase! While you can bet I won’t be wearing this many layers in the Texas heat, I’ll probably wear each piece individually while I’m there.
Let’s talk about your shoe game (always a favorite topic of mine)! While you may need those flip flops at your beach destination, remember that you will have to take them off during the TSA. Walking through the airport barefoot? Disgusting. As a stylish traveler, I’m guessing you’re bringing a pair of flats on your travels so opt for wearing those during your flight. These little socks are also a must and work with most low cut shoes.
