Staple Colors of Summer

While plenty of people are gearing up for fall, I for one am still firmly in summer time! With all the warm weather we’ve been having here in Seattle (it is a city known for rain after all), I’ve noticed that a certain color combination being repeated over and over.

STAPLE COLORS OF SUMMER

Blue and white have become my staple colors for summer. I recently cleaned out and reorganized my closet and couldn’t help but notice that blue and white were the dominant colors in my “Wearing Now” pile.

They are light and airy colors that remind me of Santorini and the Mediterranean. Maybe wearing these colors for three months straight will help bring a little bit of Greece to the Pacific Northwest 😉

Plus for all you double denim lovers, like your truly this is an easy look to recreate without becoming a puddle of sweat. This top is super breezy chambray with an even breezier cut including everything from being off the shoulder, a billowy tunic, and having loose bell sleeves. Not my normal style but comfortable to wear on a warm day.
