A Stylishly Caped Crusader | Capes for Fall Under $100

chic fall layers - wool cape for fall - easy fall outfits to copy

Happy Monday morning babes! I’m back from the East Coast and we are back to business as usual around these parts. While it was still in the 70s and 80s in New York and New England, we returned to Seattle where almost all the leafs are turning and there is a definite chill in the air. Fall is here to stay!

I was almost instantly breaking out the layers and all my outerwear pieces I’ve been sitting on since the spring, mainly this wool-blend cape.

For me, you can’t get more classic fall style than stripes with a cape over top. Something about the timeless shape of a cape versus a traditional wool coat just can’t be beat. Just a hint of the military lapels keeps this cape a traditional fall piece while you can also find more modern silhouettes that update this fall classic for 2017.

CAPES FOR FALL UNDER $100

Here are some of the best capes for under $100. Sadly these tend to be an item you can only find seasonally so snag one now while they are still available. The one I’m wearing today is actually from Forever 21 if you can believe it (but sadly is sold out)!

Love that cape! Because of the wind and the cold where I live I haven’t had a reason to buy a cape, but I have a feeling I will get one sometime. I just love capes, especially the one you’re wearing. Love how you styled that look!

Thanks so much Mary! Yes, there is a short span of time when capes are practical versus when you just need sleeves but they are fun!
