Comin’ atcha from my back patio. Somehow it’s already mid-August and we only just got it all set up. Luckily the weather stays really nice through September here in Seattle so we have at least another month out of it before the rain sets in.
I’m just sharing a quick little update today because y’all what a week!
It has actually been a mad two weeks because it all started the week before last when I had a bunch of deadlines and Teddy was sick with his first cold, poor little guy. Sadly we didn’t have any time to recover over the weekend because Teddy and I were flying solo with Andrew at a bachelor party (I went to the bachelorette the previous weekend). Then, of course, I got a respiratory infection last week and just Saturday Teddy started coughing too. When it rains, it pours.
That’s the reason why things have been a little quiet from me last week.
I was really bummed out that I missed an entire week of posting. I feel like since having Teddy, I was just starting to get back into the rhythm of posting on schedule. I’ve been gearing up for September (I’m doing a 30 posts in 30 days challenge) and thought that I’d be able to keep up with a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule in the weeks leading up to that. Sadly between being sick and taking care of a sick kid, something had to give and I chose blogging.
Ahh well. We live and learn to manage things better.
I also wanted to share a quick look into my online shopping cart. I love virtually window shopping so I always have a couple of things in my shopping cart at any given time. But this tends to be handy/keep me in check when big sale weekends roll around. Yup, I’m looking at you Labor Day Weekend!
But in all seriousness, I’m planning on making use of the LDW sales coming up in a couple of weeks so I thought to share what I’m thinking with you guys. Let me know if you see anything that really strikes your fancy!
My favorite sandals for the past several years have finally breathed their last and I find myself in August without a single pair of sandals to wear. I’ve been thinking about getting a pair of Jacks for years and I might finally pull the trigger. These tan slides are a nice mid-ground that would be really versatile.
The Gal Meets Glam August Collection launched Friday and I immediately fell in love with this maxi dress. I like that it can be a wear now/wear later dress. Wear it now with sandals and later with boots.
How adorable is this sun hat! I love that it’s a packable style so you don’t need to worry about ruining it during travel
I haven’t even really started thinking about fall but I know it’s coming and I’ll need a new trench coat once it arrives. This one has a detachable liner so it’s extra warm
Same thing about fall here. I’ll be needing a new pair of ankle boots soon and these are waterproof!
I mean, is anything more Ana Luiza than pink loafers? I don’t think so…
I love that we’ll be seeing a lot of mustard and yellow tones this autumn. This cute tee would make a great transition piece from summer into fall (plus it’s nursing friendly!)
