Cute Valentine’s Day Outfit+Gift Ideas

Guys, I’m seriously off my Valentine’s Day game this year. Normally, I’d be all about the pink outfits because it’s the time of year when, as an adult, you can get away with wearing pink ’round the clock without getting side-eye. But only for these two weeks mind you!

It’s already February 4th and I have only just started getting Valentine’s anything geared up. I actually just ordered this cute little outfit for Teddy to wear. I think I’m going to find something similar to wear and take matching outfit pictures with him.

Anyways, today I have a selection of items that would make for cute Valentines’s Day outfits. Some of these items you could even send to your SO in case they need a little hint about what to get you for V-Day. Andrew and I actually don’t do gifts for Valentine’s but he normally will get flowers (they sell them right outside his office) and we’ll go out for a little dinner date. Side note: if you need some laughs, go park outside a grocery store on your way home from work on February 14th and count how many men come out with flowers.

Since these outfits and gift ideas are all geared towards us ladies, I wanted to let you know that I have a couple of older posts that have some great gift ideas for the guy in your life. I still think that this Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him Under $50 post is really valid. How can you ever go wrong when chocolate snacks are involved?!

Cute Valentine’s Day Outfit & Gift Ideas (for Her)

Tiny Heart Wrap Dress – Ann Taylor came out with a Valentine’s Day capsule collection that includes some really cute pieces of both clothing and jewelry. This dress actually reminds me A LOT of my red wrap dress. The hearts are so tiny that you almost can’t tell what the print is until you’re really up close and personal

Blush Slip Dress – This would be such a beautiful date night dress that you could wear again in the spring during the wedding season. It’s not over the top pink or anything like that. Just a beautiful pale blush pink that can be worn over and over again. I also love how they show the model wearing the dress with flats rather than standard heels.

Tortoise Hoop Earrings – I absolutely love these but Teddy would also absolutely love ripping them out of my ears. Hopefully, in a year or so, I’ll be able to wear hoop earrings again but until then, I’m living vicariously through you guys.

Red Tote Bag – This would make a fantastic gift at any time of the year since it comes in a variety of colors and you can get it monogrammed. I personally love the pop that this red version would add to any outfit, any time of the year but it is especially seasonally appropriate now.

Ugg Classic Mini II – I’m not normally an Uggs person but I just ordered my first pair because my feet are ALWAYS cold! Certain colors are currently on sale if you love a fuzzy pair of boots (or just have super cold feet like me). You can also find select sizes for 40% off here

Sweater Blazer – THE sweater blazer is available in pink! I have it, love it, and will probably wear it for Valentine’s Day. If you haven’t already tried the J.Crew sweater blazer, I highly recommend them. J.Crew Factory also just launched their version of the sweater blazer if you want the look but spend a little bit less.

Kate Spade “Loves Me Knots” set – This set would make such a sweet gift from your honey on Valentine’s Day 😉 It comes in rose gold (appropriate) and is just a cute and dainty little set perfect for every day. The earrings and necklace are sold separately.

Tiny Heart Silk Scarf – I love a silk scarf. They look so cute tied onto your handbag or wrapped in your hair. This one is part of the Ann Taylor Valentine’s Day collection so the hearts are teeny tiny and not super in-you-face

Pink Polkadot Slip-on Skirt – This J.Crew Factory skirt was an instant sell-out over the holidays. It’s also available in leopard print and is bound to sell out again. This polka dot version would look so feminine with a white blouse and nude pumps.

Red Lipstick – When all else fails, go for a pretty lipstick. My favorite red shades are all MAC lipsticks (D for Danger, Ruby Woo, and Dobinnet).

Ann Taylor Heart Sweater – Yet another item from the Ann Taylor Valentine’s Day collection. This one is very overtly Valentine-y but if you want one sweater that you can break out over and over again (like I do with this blouse), this would be a great option

Other items that didn’t make the image but should totally be on your radar:

Rothys Sneakers – They make sneakers that come in bubblegum pink! Like hot off the press pink. Like match with your toddler pink. Ok, I’m done but you get the gist. Definitely not for the faint of heart. If you want the comfort of Rothy’s but with some serious color, these are for you

Rothy Loafers – There’s also a blush pink gingham loafer! I mean that’s right up my alley and think how cute it would be in spring. I’m so tempted by these you guys. SO TEMPTED!

Braided Headband – I’ve always said that if you’re not totally comfortable wearing pink, then try accessorizing with it. A headband is a nice way to try out a new color without investing a ton upfront. I love these braided headbands and they come in two of my most worn colors.

XOXO Tee – If you just want the slightest bit of Valentine’s Day cheer, then check out this not-so plain white tee. It’s got a little embellishment on the front pocket but no more than that.

Embroidered Heart Sweater – Another item from the Ann Taylor Collection. I actually think that this sweater is my favorite from the bunch. I like that it’s more low key Valentine’s themed than all the red heart items.

Tiny Heart Blouse – This is yet another piece from the Ann Taylor collection. This reminds me the most of the heart print blouse that I wear every year for Valentine’s day

Cropped Pink Sweater – Straight forward and standard, this is a plain jane sweater that you’d be able to wear all year round. I love the price ($25) and think it would look SO cute with cropped white pants or jeans.
