4 Home Appliances I Use Every Day

dyson cordless vacuum - appliances I use every day

Since we’ve been at home day in and day out, I’ve been wanting to share some of my favorite home appliances with you guys. These are items that I use all the time, love to use, but never mention. Even before quarantine started, these four everyday home appliances were really pulling their weight in the Creighton home.

Four Appliances I Use Everyday

Electric Kettle

Our electric kettle was a wedding gift that I never imagined would get so much use. My husband Andrew uses it to make coffee in the morning. I’m not a coffee drinker but both I drink a lot of tea throughout the day. Even in the summer, I use it to make ice tea and cold brew coffee. There aren’t many appliances that get this amount of use in our household but this electric kettle is one of them.

Dyson Cordless Vacuum

Is it dramatic to say that this vacuum changed my life? Because it did. I used to detest vacuuming. And it all stemmed from dealing with the cord and outlet. We tried the Roomba and it worked for a time but ours died six months after getting it so we exchanged it for the Dyson and omg, all the hype is real. I use this vacuum every single day, no joke! The model that we use is currently $100 off if you are looking to get a new vacuum.

Bullet Blender

Andrew got me a Ninja bullet blender for Christmas in 2018 and it has lived on our counter ever since. Most days we’ll both have a smoothie for breakfast. Now that Teddy has come along, he also has a smoothie as a mid-day snack. While I occasionally wish for a traditional blender, I actually like this one a lot because it is single-serving sized. Andrew, Ted, and I all like different types and flavors of smoothies, so it actually works out really well and we all get what we want.

Instant Pot

Ok, so we don’t actually have an Instant Pot because we’ve had this automatic pressure cooker by Cusinart for over five years now (aka before Instant Pot was a thing). And it may be the most used appliance in our house. You can honestly make just about anything in this thing. Again since we’re vegetarians we make beans in it every week but I’ve also made risotto, soups, rice, popcorn you name it. Just google your favorite dish with Instant Pot and someone has probably figured out how to do it. I love it! You can cook just about anything in half the time.
