LoveShackFancy for Target

I’m not one to get super excited about every designer Target collections but when the LoveShackFancy for Target collection was announced I got pumped up. This collaboration is perfect for spring and summer but I believe it was pushed out due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Still, the LoveShackFancy for Target collection will be for sale on June 6th (online only) and is bound to be a huge hit.

Since I haven’t seen any of the pieces in person (yet), I can’t give you a full in-depth review but I wanted to what I do know about this collection so far along with what we can deduce from the previous designer for Target collections.

Let’s get into it!

LoveShackFancy for Target

Quick Overview
  • Launch June 6 (online) and June 15 (in select stores)
  • Only dresses
  • everything under $70
  • from XXS to 3X
Styles

Target has released images, sizing, and prices for all the pieces in the collection. This collection for Target will be all dresses. While LoveShackFancy came onto my radar with their whimsical sweaters last year, they are probably best known for their ultra-feminine dresses. Think pinks, ruffles, bows, that sort of thing.

This LoveShackFancy collection with Target looks to be along those same lines. Spring colors (pastel pinks, blues, yellows, and whites) with lots of feminine and girly details. Ruffles, bows, lace, smocking, floral prints, and lots of pink.

Price point

This collection will be priced significantly higher than your average Target clothing. The dresses range from $45-$60. But considering a standard LoveShackFancy dress will put you out around $400-$500, it’s an amazing deal.

Sizing & Fit

Normally Target sizing runs a little larger than your average clothing line. According to the size guides currently posted in each listing, that looks to be the case with the LoveShackFancy for Target Collection as well.

The collection will be available in both regular and plus sizes, going from XXS to 3X. There are a couple of dresses that are in numerical sizing and those run from size 0 to 22W.

My Favorites

So far, I have a couple of favorites from the collection. The Celeste Smocking dress was the first one to catch my eye. I also like the Gemma Puff Sleeve dress,  the Pheobe button-up dress, and the Esme Wrap dress. I can’t wait to see them in person and see what the collection will look like once it drops in June!
