What To Buy During the Beautycounter Friends & Family Sale

If you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll know that I have been transitioning to clean skincare and beauty products for almost two years now. At this point, almost all of my skincare products are clean. Makeup less so, but I think that under the 80/20 principle I’m doing pretty good overall.

This weekend is the Beautycounter Friends & Family sale so I wanted to share some of my favorite items, many that I’ve been using for almost two years now. Beautycounter was one of the first brands I tried when I first started looking into clean skincare. I really like that I don’t need to do any extra research or reading labels with them. It’s definitely an easy one-stop-shop for clean skincare and a great place to start if you are wanting to start your own transition to clean skincare products.

So what should you buy during the Beautycounter sale? Well, I’m glad you asked 😉

What to Buy During the Beautycounter Sale

This weekend is the Beautycounter Friends & Family Sale where their site is 15% off and up to 30% off some items. They only have about three sales a year so now is a great time to test out new products or stock up on favorites while they are discounted. Below I’m sharing all my favorites plus two other items that I’m interested in trying.

In other big news, Beautycounter will be available in Sephora stores this July. It’s only for a limited time but it will be nice to see even more clean beauty and skincare products available in Sephora.

Overnight Resurfacing Peel

If you only try one product from Beautycounter, make it this Overnight Resurfacing Peel. It’s one of their best sellers for a reason. It’s a AHA/BHA leave-on peel that doesn’t dry out my skin. When I’m consistently using it once or twice a week, I notice that I don’t break out as other than hormonal acne during that time of the month. I really do notice a difference the morning after I use it. My skin feels smoother and generally looks brighter as well.

I purchased this back in 2019 and I’m still using the same bottle. I generally only use two pumps once a week so it’s lasted me quite a while.

Adaptive Moisture Lotion

One of the first Beautycounter products that I ever tried and am still using and loving today. This daily moisturizer helps balance the amount of hydration your skin needs throughout the day. I used this when I was pregnant with dry skin. I’ve used it since my skin has returned to it’s normal/oily state and the Adaptive Moisture Lotion still is working for me.

One tube of this moisturizer generally lasts me about three months. I only use it in the morning after I’ve washed my face.

Brightening Facial Oil

I really loved this brightening facial oil. I used this throughout the winter as my nighttime moisturizer. It’s lightweight and absorbs pretty quickly so you don’t go to bed feeling oily or sticky. The brightening aspect was really nice to have throughout the winter when my skin felt extra dull and sallow looking.

Charcoal Facial Mask

I’ve only used this mask a handful of times (I was sent a travel-sized) but I’ve really enjoyed it every time I used it. It goes on easily and gives you some gentle exfoliation as you wash it off. This product is designed for oily skin or if you suffer from clogged pores. My skin always feels smoother each time I use it

Mineral Sunscreen

One product that I’ve yet to try is the Mineral Sunscreen. They have SPF 30 mineral sunscreens in both lotions and spray variety as well as travel-sized. All their mineral sunscreens are made with zinc and reef safe!

Volumizing Mascara

One area that I’ve been wanting to switch over to a clean alternative is my mascara. The Beautycounter volumizing mascara is said to be really good at getting a dramatic look without melting down your face. I’ve only been hesitant to try this mascara because I tend to prefer plastic wands versus natural ones.

Color Intense Lipstick

If you want a clean lipstick that packs a colorful punch, these lipsticks are a great option. I have the shade 9-to-5, which is great for everyday wear to the office neutral, and Beautycounter Red, which is a hot orange-red shade.  The only thing that I don’t like about these lipsticks is that they aren’t long-lasting. Super moisturizing, yes, but these won’t last through lunch without reapplication.

Sheer Lipstick

This sheer lipstick is comparable to a tinted lip balm. It feels very moisturizing when you’re wearing it but only delivers a wash of color. I wore the shade ‘Rose’ for most of the past year when I had minimal makeup on. It’s a great slap-it-on-and-go lip tint.
