H&M Chunky Cardigan (This is a similar option in case the other is sold out. This one isn’t bad either) // Abercrombie jeans (these are stretchy and comfortable enough to wear while running after a toddler plus they’re under $100. I get the short inseam for a cropped look)  // J.Crew stripe shirt (this is a top favorite of mine. I wear it basically any time it’s clean. Size down for a tighter fit)  // J.Crew Factory leopard loafers // similar tote bag

Happy Monday all. I hope you had a good weekend. Here in Seattle, we had the first very wet wintery weekend of the year. Saturday was grey and chilly all morning then right around noon it started raining. Really really raining. And hailing cats and dogs style. Since I had already completed all my errands for the day, it actually ended up being a really nice and cozy day inside. I prepped a ton of veggies for the week, made chili, applesauce, and apple pie. (Got to love when there are discount boxes at the farm stand.) Basically, I was really feeling that Nancy Meyers’ Kitchen vibe.

Anyways, it just all made for a really cozy time together. Normally I don’t like this kind of weather but it was so extreme that it was actually enjoyable.

One of the things that I wore all weekend that added to the cozy factor was this chunky knit cardigan. I think by this point we all know that I’m a giant sucker for a cable knit and this sweater is basically my love language. It’s so oversized and just feels like a hug. It’s also much warmer than I thought it would be. Normally fast fashion sweaters aren’t the best material and while they look great, they are thin or scratchy or just poorly made. None of that is the case with this cable knit cardigan. Even if you don’t see this sweater regularly here on the blog or social media, know that I’m wearing it almost every day.

The rest of my outfit is items you’ve seen before that I currently have in heavy rotation.

Abercrombie Skinny Jeans

I’ve been wearing these Abercrombie jeans since Teddy was born. They are a really affordable pair of jeans that have a ton of stretch to them. Meaning, you can run after your kids, bend, squat, and lift without discomfort. They go on sale pretty often and are around $40 when that happens. I get the short inseam (there is short, regular, and tall) for a more cropped ankle length.

Leopard Print Loafers

These are a favorite pair of mine that I have owned and loved for years. I love that I can get a little pop of leopard print without feeling over the top. I’d wear these with simple jeans-and-a-tee type outfits but still feel like I tried and was more dressed up than if I were wearing flats or sneakers.

J.Crew Stripe Shirt

This is probably one of my most worn shirts. I have the size medium for a slightly looser fit. It’s lightweight enough that I don’t sweat in it but it’s also great for layering under a sweater blazer or cardigan for fall and spring.
