Green and Gold Tablescape

I totally forgot to share these pictures last month but here we are. I made another foray into home decor and it didn’t end horribly. I actually really like how it turned out!

Celebrating anything during a pandemic is hard, now that it’s winter it just got that much harder. A couple of weekends ago, I hung out with my girlfriends outside and we almost froze. I wore a parka. It was rough.

So last month, when I celebrated my 30th birthday, I knew it would be small, like two and a half people small, but I still wanted it to be special. I ended up putting together a pretty green and gold table and decorations for myself. This is not an area where I’d normally excel (or even try to be honest) so I’m really proud of how well this turned out.

I recently deep dove into Lucy Cuneo’s blog and Instagram and she’s given me so much inspiration to celebrate the small stuff, make it beautiful, and document it. It gives me so much joy to do all three I don’t know why I haven’t made more of an effort in the past.

Happy Birthday’ balloon banner (it also comes in rose gold) //gold taper candles // gold birthday candles (these tall ones are also quite pretty) // gold candles holder // votive candles // pillar candles // glass hurricanes (I ended up using these as vases rather than for candles. I really wanted the greenery) // tea candle holder (these are from the Target dollar section and the set of two was $3) // tablecloth (Goodwill’s finest $5. Here’s a similar one) // woven placemats // cloth napkins // dining bench
