Get Ready With Me – Busy Tuesday Edition

Hi guys!

I thought I would take you with me today in a Get Ready With Me (GRWM?). I love watching these on Youtube and will try to recreate it in blog form. It is a great way to get the best of all worlds all in one. You get to see makeup, hair, and outfit all together. What’s not to like?

Let me know what you think about this format. I’m not sure how well this will work in blog format but I will give it a go!

Lets get started! No Makeup Face coming right up!

Here’s what we are working with: my face first thing in the morning
I started by washing and moisturizing my face and then putting in my contacts.
After making some coffee and letting my moisturizer set, I get started on my makeup

Here are all the products I used on my face. If you are a regular here at the blog then you have seen these before!
Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
Revlon Colorstay Concealer
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Brightening Concealer
L’Oreal Visible Lift CC Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush
Maybelline Master Studio Hi-Light Blush

I kept the eye makeup fairly simple using only a few items to help open and brighten up my eye area.
Neutrogena Crease Proof Eyeshadow
Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette (Venus and Naked 2)
Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Liquid Eyeliner
Maybelline the Rocket Volum’ Express waterproof Mascara
Anastasia Brow Wiz

Now isn’t that better?

Now to attack the hair. In the first picture, you guys can see what my hair looks like air dried. i washed it the previous night and let it dry about 80% before going to bed and that is the result I am left with. Most days I would just clean up the non-wavy pieces and go with it but today I’m doing something a little different.

I started by spraying some heat protectant throughout my hair and brushing it through. Alternating directions, I curled vertical sections all the way around my head. After the curls had cooled, I flipped my head upside-down and gave them a good shakin’ to break up the curls

Heat Protectant: Tresemme Thermal Creations Thermal Heat Protectant
Brush: Conair Wet Brush
Iron: Conair Instant Heat Curling Iron (1 1/2 inch, I think)
Finished product. Getting better, right?

Onto the clothes!
The weather is getting warmer so I wanted to be a little more summery that I normally have a chance to. Time to break out those summer whites!
Shirt: The Loft (It doesn’t show up in the picutre but it has a really cute eyelet pattern)
Jeans: Article of Society
Shoes: Frye

And here is the complete product!
Not to shabby.

What do you guys do to get ready in the morning?
Is this something that you would like to see more of?
Let me know!

You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Google+

Until next time,
