Simple and Fresh | Naked Basics 2 (VIDEO)

Hi guys!

I recently purchased the new Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 palette and have been dying to share it with you guys. It is a selection of six new matte taupe shades making it a great everyday palette. I have been getting a lot of use out of it, using these shades alone and along side my Naked 2 palette.

This is a pretty simple eye look. Muted and great for everyday

Take a look!

Starting with the face, I was trying to go for a bright highlighted look so I used a couple different products. I started with a radiance boosting primer all over the face. I used Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance but Maybelline has a drugstore version of this product in their Dream Lumi range.

Using a brightening concealer in a pinkish/salmon shade, I highlighted underneath the eyes, down the bridge of my nose, on my chin, and on my forehead blending with my fingers.

To get even more glowing and fresh skin, I skipped matte full coverage foundation and went with my Garnier BB Cream for the face.

For the most natural flush I could manage, I used a cream blush (Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush) on the apples of my cheeks blending upwards. I set the blush with another highlighting blush (Maybelline Hi-Light blush) for an added glow to the cheek bones.

I finished off the face with some powder (Rimmel Stay Matte) to set the under eyes and T-zone and some bronzer (Physicians Formula Bronze Booster) around the perimeter of the face for some added color.

For the eyes, I started with the Urban Decay Primer Potion to prep the eyes for eyeshadow. On the lid, I used the second shade in the palette, Stark, a soft peach tone. For a brow bone and inner tear-duct highlight, I used the first shade in the palette, Skimp, a demi-matte nude shade. Finally, I added some soft definition of the crease with the third shade in the palette, Frisk, a warm greyish shade. After blending out all three shades, I was left with a muted day time eye look that gave subtle definition to the eyes.

I finished off the eyes with black liner in the tightline (Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Liner) and a healthy coat of mascara (Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara) to give the lashes plenty of volume.

For the lips, I went with my favorite day-to-day pink lipstick (Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain) and with that the look is complete!

What do you guys think?
What is your favorite part of a fresh faced look? I love how healthy and wide awake I can make my skin look.
Let me know yours in the comments below!

Until next time,
Ana Luiza
