How To Curl Mid-Length Hair | 2 Techniques

Hi guys!

Since I have cut my hair the shortest it has been in quite a while, I have been changing up my method of styling my hair. Here are the two different techniques that I use on my hair to curl it. The first method is a classic ringlet style curl that lasts me several days after the style. The second is a beachy look that adds texture and wave more than an actual curl.

Take a look!

I start by giving my hair a once over with some dry shampoo to get rid of any greasiness or oil in my second day hair.

After combing through my hair to get rid of any tangles, I spray in some heat protectant and brush it through. This will help protect the hair from the direct heat.

Technique 1

Using the clip, I place hair between the barrel and the clip with the clip side closest to my face. I slowly feed the hair through the clip while rotating the curling iron until all the hair is incorporated. After leaving it wrapped around the barrel for a few moments, I release the hair and have a nice ribbon curl.

Technique 2

The simple version is, without using the clip, simple wrap a section of hair around the barrel. Hold the hair for several moments then release the section.

With both techniques, let your hair cool down all the way before shaking out the curls and hitting them with some hairspray.

How do you curl your hair?
Is it only on special occasions or everyday?

Until next time,
