What I’m Lovin’ – August Favorites

Hi guys!

I hesitate to say this but we aren’t in August anymore. It is officially September and I honestly don’t know where this month has gone but here we are and with a new month comes new favorites…

For August, I didn’t think that I would have that many beauty favorites but once I put my mind to it the list kept growing. There are some lip, makeup, and hair products this month.

Take a look!

Rimmel  Moisture Renew Lipstick in 720 Notting Hill Nude
Jumping onto the 1990’s/Kyle Jenner nude lip bandwagon, I tested out two Rimmel lipsticks that I have been reaching for all month. This one is a little on the brown side from what I normally wear but I have been able to make the lip color work with both everyday looks and event/evening makeup, which had it in my purse all month. I didn’t think that I would like it as much as I did but I stand corrected about the brownish nude lip.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 700 Nude Delight
This is the other Rimmel lipstick that I have used on and off all month. This still categorizes as a nude lip but is slightly more pink and peach toned versus brown. I love this as a slap-on-and-go color. It gives the best of all worlds: pink, peach, and nude.

A and D Ointment
This might be a weird thing to see on this blog as I don’t have any children but stick with me. My dermatologist recommended this ointment as an intensive lip therapy. I was having problems with the skin on my lips for over a month and this really helped clear up all for skin woes. I put on a thin layer in the morning before putting on my makeup and a thick layer right before bed for super soft and plump lips all day long.

It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation and Airbrush Brush
I did a full review/first impression of this foundation earlier in the summer and it continues to impress me. I took it on vacation with me to Houston, TX and it withstood the crazy heat and humidity where my other foundations have failed. I also can’t get over how easy and quick it is to apply. All I had to do was give it a quick buff all over my face and out the door. It’s buildable yet still looks like skin. Overall a great product that I’ve had a ton of use out of this month.

Babyliss Pro TT Travel Hair Dryer
This tiny little guy has been a lifesaver this past month! I usually reserve my travel dryer for, you guessed it, travel but when my Conair fancy-pantsy dryer suddenly refused to turn on I was really happy that I had this one. It is super small but really packs a punch (of hot air). I can see people with really thick hair not having great results with this small of a dryer but it has worked great for me this month. I also love that the small size makes it so much lighter so my arms aren’t exhausted after I try to give myself a blowout.

Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion
I try to be really good about moisturizing my skin and keeping it healthy but this month I actually committed! I started using this Nivea moisturizer morning and night and have loved it. I don’t know if my skin got any firmer but the moisture part is what I have to rave about. I can put this on first thing in the morning and still feel the moisture at the end of the day! I use it with their body wash and it only intensifies the feeling of having hydrated healthy skin. It is amazing! If you suffer from any sort of dry skin check it out!
