We took a pit stop during our road trip in San Luis Obispo to have breakfast at the Madonna Inn. I first heard of the Madonna Inn when my parents went on a it’s-the-middle-of-winter-I-need-sun vacation to coastal California. The Madonna Inn has become quite the institution and is worth the stop if you are planning on driving down the California coast. The entire hotel is themed and totally over the top with lobby, restaurant, bar, and bathrooms being nearly entirely pink! Like legit holographic hot pink wall paper. It was amazing, I was in heaven!

Since we didn’t stay at the hotel, I only have pictures of the lobby and public areas however all the rooms are different and have their own vibe and theme. It is worth the stop and if anything, entertain yourself for half an hour looking at all the different rooms on their website here. In their restaurant, they also have an on site bakery where they make these incredible pink cakes. We didn’t have an order for a cake (plus we were on a road trip, what would we have done with a cake?) but breakfast for me included the next best thing, strawberry waffles!

In totally other news, there is an exciting project coming to the blog on Monday! I’ve teamed up with the lovely Michelle from Michelle’s Pa(i)ge to start a weekly blog linkup every Monday. We want to inspire everyone to start their week off stylish and look forward to getting dresses for the week. Keep a look out for that as it will feature relevant and themed looks for you to enjoy and participate in!

Happy weekend! What is your weekend going to be filled with? I’m moving 🙁 but the weather is forecasted to be over 90 degrees! Hopefully that means a dip in the pool after a long day moving!

  4. Great post! I was so excited to see this because I just stayed there a few days ago in the Daisy Mae room. Isn’t the pink & gold decor awesome? Even the lamp posts are pink. Love this place! <3 Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  7. Wow an all pink hotel with fabulous desserts! I need to go. Only I live far away in NC. If I ever make it out there, I’m going to check it out. I’ll stop by your blog Monday for the link-up!
