The first day of our road trip up the California coast, we stopped and hung out for a cloudy morning on the beach in Santa Monica. I spent a summer living and working in Santa Monica so the location is a familiar one full of memories for me.
Even though it was cloudy, the temperature couldn’t have been below 70 degrees. I spent the day (both exploring and in the car) in this super comfy tee shirt dress and gladiator sandals. With a simple denim jacket I kept warm and balanced out the texture and stripes of the dress. This dress is lovingly known as my barcode dress. The variation on the thickness of the stripes adds interest and helps keep me from looking overly wide, a occupational hazard when wearing vertical stripes
Do you guys love a comfy tee shirt dress for the summer or are you more of a shorts gal? I fell in love with this dress because of its perfect length on me (I feel a little too short to wear full length maxi dresses as they tend to overwhelm my frame) and its cool breathable fabric. I have a feeling that I will be wearing it a lot over the coming months.
