Off White

Off White

After wearing all white on Monday’s post, I decided to be committed to monochrome more often. However that is scary and simply against my (colorful) nature. I find it super chic and find that it gives off an effortlessly cool vibe whenever I see others wearing it. I’m starting off easy with the white spectrum adding plenty of off white and beige together for a faux monochrome look. Being who I am, I couldn’t help but add a pop of color around my neck with my Mimi Scholer tassel necklace and some hot pink on the lips.

In other news, I recently finished up Aliza Licht’s book Leave Your Mark. This book took the blogging and fashion world by storm a few months ago and I HIGHLY recommend reading it. As a young woman starting out in the ‘real world’, I found it immensely helpful and insightful. And while the book is geared and written for an audience of young women interested in the fashion industry, I also feel that it would be a great read for anyone who needs some direction or just a reminder to the answer of “why do I work this hard?” The final section of the book is by far the most useful (in a practical sense) as it’s all about creating your professional image and how to be your own PR rep.

  7. What a cute business casual outfit! Love you how you worked in summer trends with your accessories. I’m all about monochrome looks. I typically try to play with different shades in one color family or stick to the exact same color in different textures.
