The day has finally arrived! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to the public and I am busy shopping!

I don’t know how many of you do this but my strategy with online shopping these crazy sales is to first create my ‘dream shopping cart’. (SIDE NOTE: Who else hates the term ‘shopping cart’ when online shopping? If I were in the store, no one would dare say “Let me put this in your shopping cart.” Where are we? The grocery store? No! This is Nordstrom and I am buying designer shoes. They should never be in the same sentence as shopping cart! Anyways…rant over). After I have over my credit limit worth of merch selected in my size, I go back into the ‘shopping cart’ and painfully whittle down all the things that will sadly not find their way to my mailbox. This allows me to return back to reality after happily clicking away.

For my ladies out there looking to stick to or are on a budget but still want to shop a little since it is a sale, I highly recommend this as a game plan. It forces me to face the music and keep the total sum of my shopping in mind. I tend to loose track of my spending when I shop in store. However, if you still want that store shopping experience, I recommend making an appointment with a personal stylist. They will stick to the budget you give them but also help you get the most bang for your buck.

Are you shopping online or in store? If you shop in store, what is your method for budgeting? Let me know in the comments! I love hearing from you!

I shopped online. My budget method for this time was to only look at things under $50. I just went to whatever category I wanted (dresses, jeans, etc.) and then checked only the price ranges up to $50! That way I didn’t fall in love with a $100 sweater or something.

That is a great way to budget as well! Thanks for reading Mattie!

I’m hearing about those Halogen T-Strap Flats everywhere. Definitely looking into those.

And I could not agree more with the shopping cart rant. Spot on.

Loved viewing your picks. Happy shopping!

Thanks for reading Katie! I swear they (the Halogen flats) are worth all hype! But for me anything Valentino inspired sans Valentino price tag is a win
