Home for the Holidays

star ornaments | garland | candle | lantern | berry arrangement | tablecloth | car pillow | brass tray | fa-la-la throw pillow | cable knit blanket | red ornaments

This year will be our first Christmas in our new house and I’ve been trying to get inspired to decorate our home for the holidays. However, finding tasteful decor within a budget can sometimes be hard when you fall into down the rabbit hole on Pinterest and end up on either the Anthropologie or West Elm website. I’ve found that Target has stepped up their game as far as home decor is concerned and am loving all the selection they have on their website.

There are easy ways to decorate for Christmas without breaking the bank or feeling like the North Pole has thrown up in your living room. I added a few small touches to our home to make it feel more festive. We’ve trimmed our tree in red and gold, added a new red and white tablecloth, and picked up a few pointsettias since other flowers are out of season. I’d also love to add some red and season throw pillows, swap out throw blankets for something a bit more cozy like the one above, and perhaps find some cute garland (like this one) to decorate our mantel. And with just six easy swaps, our home is decorated!

How are you decorating for the holiday season?
