Transitioning into Fall with Color

transitioning into fall with color

Happy almost Friday loves! I’ve been noticing that so many people are talking fall already. While I see the allure of crisp weather, layers, and colorful leaves, I’m still not over summer. With temps in the 80s and 90s this week, I’m still riding the summer train.

That being said, August is a great time to start getting back into the fall mindset. Schools are back in session next week, all the summer weddings have come and gone, plus the mornings have become significantly cooler than normal. So where does that leave us style wise?

WANT TO TRANSITION INTO FALL FASHION EARLY? THINK COLORS!

One of the easiest ways to transition your style mindset, so to speak, into fall is to think in colors. No, August isn’t the time to break out your favorite blanket scarf, but what about the colors that make up said scarf? Together those deeper hues add an additional fall/winter element that you can totally use in your wardrobe during transitional seasons.

Recently I was sent this stunning dress by VIPme and the lovely mix of burnt orange with black and cream instantly had me thinking about fall leaves. However, the fabric is a flowing silk that moves perfectly in the late summer evening breeze. I’ve worn it both to a wedding and to work and both times received compliments on the dress. Some other great options that would allow you to wear your favorite fall colors now without overheating would be this shift dress, this plaid dress, this breezy top, or this strappy tank
