Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas (That Will Hide The Extra Slice of Pie)

thanksgiving-outfit-ideas

So with Thanksgiving this week, we are all planning out our outfits for the festivities later on this week. With any holiday involving large quantities of food and football, this can be quite a task. You want to be comfortable enough for a second helping of pie but still look cute. So let’s just say no to sweatpants, this is a family holiday after all.

Now while leggings and a cozy knit may sound like an excellent solution, I’ve got a rather unorthodox suggestion. Ready?
A high waisted skirt.

Now don’t look at me like I’m crazy but also don’t underestimate the power of a high waisted skirt for hiding a magnitude of sins (extra pumpkin pie included), especially this one! With a fitted waist band and A-line shape, you can have your pie and eat it too. Plus it pairs with so many different shirt and shoe options (see how I wore it dresses up here).

What will you be wearing on Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it)? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
Ana Luiza

You’re right—we should probably dress up more for T-Day since it is a wonderful holiday. And wearing something to hide the extra food is a fabulous idea!!
