The Perfect Feminine Date Night Outfit Equation

Happy Monday babes!
I hope you had a fabulous weekend. We celebrated Valentine’s early on Saturday calling for a special sort of date night outfit.

You ladies here, all know that I love classic feminine style. And while sometimes you have an exact outfit in mind for a special Valentine’s date night, there are other times when I stick to this equation for a spot on outfit every time. Keep ready for some fashionable math! (who knew it could be fun!)

PICK A STATEMENT PIECE

I always like to start planning an outfit with one statement making piece. It adds the wow factor to date night and changes up/makes up for all the times he sees me wearing my favorite jeans and sweater combo. This statement piece can be anything from a pair of shoes to a handbag to a bold pattern, print, or color. For today’s look, I chose a feminine pleated skirt with plenty of movement.

ADD YOUR NEUTRALS FOR BALANCE

With any bold statement piece, you want to balance it out with some neutrals.
I chose to add an eyelet top (which is actually a dress) my grey bag.

ADD A YOUR UNIQUE (OR FESTIVE) TOUCH

While I would normally advise for a neutral shoe as well, I decided that a festive touch was needed. This means I’m breaking out the pink pumps! (and when else is it totally appropriate for a grown woman to wear near head to toe pink?)

This little (or large. You do you.) festive touch is what makes that outfit uniquely yours and will have you standing out in a crowd. Have a signature lipstick or nail polish? Rock it! Never been caught in flats? Strut in those heels! Whatever it is that makes your look special, find it and rock it!

I usually wear neutral colors and then bring a pop of color or sparkle in some way to the whole look. I love your heels and think that pop of bright color is absolutely perfect!

  8. I don’t know what is more beautiful, if the blouse so delicate or the fantastically ladylike pink skirt. Everything is very harmonious, very feminine, very elegant, very romantic. A simply perfect look! Loved it!
