Working Girl Capsule Wardrobe Summer Additions

Hey there babes! I know it’s August and this list may have been much better served to you in May or early June. However as this was my first full summer since I’ve transitioned into a corporate work role with a stricter dress code, I wanted to be able to stand behind my picks and have some actual styling experience with them.

That all being said…

Remember my Business Casual Capsule Wardrobe? Here are some of the items I added in and swapped out for the summer months:

I also made a point to swap out the darker colors in my work wardrobe for lighter brighter shades. Black became blue, grey became white, and from there I added pops of accent colors where I could like a red lip or some colorful jewelry. Summer is also a great time to wear all your favorite prints to work. Sun dresses can be dressed up for the office with a belt (for shape), a cardigan, and heels, and often summer prints are loud enough you don’t need to worry much about adding a third piece or much jewelry on top.
