Sperry Seaport Loafers Review (aka the most comfortable shoes ever)

sperry seaport penny loafers reveiw - pink loafers - Northwest Blonde - Seattle style blog

I’ve said it before but I need another pair of loafers like I need a hole in the head. But I don’t let little details like that stop me and in this case, I’m especially glad I didn’t listen to the practical side of myself because these are the most comfortable loafers I’ve ever worn. These being the Sperry Seaport Penny Loafers. I kid you not, I’ve been thinking about getting these loafers for over a year and I’m so happy that I finally pulled the trigger.

I’ve always worn Sperry’s in the past. I live in Seattle and grew up on boats so I’m most familiar with the classic Sperry boat shoe. However once I learned that they also made loafers, I was intrigued. Growing up, I wore through several pairs of penny loafers. I was always attracted to the style and comfort that they provided. Now as an adult, I’m more than happy to bring these preppy shoes back into my life in the form of the Seaport Penny Loafers.

Sperry Seaport Penny Loafers Review

These loafers come in a couple of different colors. I opted for the ‘Rose’ shade which is a very pale, almost my skin tone, shade of pink. There’s also classic brown, black, light blue, as well as pebbled leather in the same colors. I already have the brown pair on my shopping wishlist (yes, they’re that good.)

As far as sizing, these fit very true to size. I bought a 7.5 and they fit perfectly. This loafer is available in wide sizes as well as standard if you have wider feet. Side note: since having Teddy, I noticed that my shoe size is now a true 7.5 where it used to be a 7.

These shoes are generally $99 at most major retailers. However, since they are available at so many different retailers, you can occasionally find them on sale somewhere. I found mine on sale for 50% off at Macy’s but you can also find them at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Shopbop, Amazon, and Sperry.com
Since I wasn’t certain which size I’d need, I ordered mine from Nordstrom and they price matched the sale price from Macy’s. Macy’s is great for a sale but I wanted to be sure that I’d have hassle-free returns and exchanges in case I needed a different size.

Why are these so comfortable? They have memory foam in the footbed! I’ve talked about how this was a game-changer when I discovered a pair of heels with this feature and in loafers, it’s next level. I took these out of the box when they arrived, put them on, then just proceeded about my day. I’ve worn them every day for about a week now and they are still just as comfortable. No rubbing, no blisters, just comfort. I honestly think that these are the most comfortable shoes that I own. I wear them without socks but you could easily wear these with no-show sock liners.

Sperry also makes a penny loafer mule as well. A friend of mine got a pair from Nordstrom Rack and they are just as comfortable (she let me try them on). It’s a bit more of a modern spin on the classic loafer if that’s more your style.

Overall, I REALLY like these loafers. They are obviously a very preppy shoe but I also like the added aspect pink feminine aspect as well. Like I said above, they are insanely comfortable and I’ve worn them for days now without a single blister. I’ve already got my eyes on the brown pair as they are a little more practical than pink but can you blame me?!

Are you a fan of loafers? Have you tried the Sperry Seaport loafes? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
