Last Minute Easter Ideas

Easter is basically here and I haven’t even started on anything to make it special for Teddy. He’s still too young to understand that it’s a special holiday but I wanted to at least do a little something since we aren’t going to be able to attend a normal church service. If you’re in the same boat as I am, that boat being thrown together last-minute holiday magic, then here are some simple ideas to make Easter special for your family and kids even though it’s a social distance Easter.

I tried to only include items that are either available on Amazon, have a fast shipping option, or offer curbside pickup.

EASTER TOYS, BOOKS, & GAMES

Personalized Easter Basket – While any basket would do, I like the idea of having a personalized basket much like a Christmas stocking. I’m going to save this one for next year.

Auto Bubble Making Machine – I remember these fondly from my childhood! This lawnmower is available to curbside pickup at your local Target while the whale is on Amazon.

Religious Books – If you’re Christian and want books that celebrate the Savior for your little ones, Target has a couple of Easter board books available for pickup.

Easter Bunny BooksThese pull tab books are Teddy’s favorite books right now. He’ll sit and play with it for whole minutes at a time 😉 They are pretty sturdy as well. I’ve only had to make a few repairs to his.

Stacking Egg Toy – Teddy has this egg toy and loves stacking, opening and closing, and of course, throwing the eggs and shells. It’s currently in stock on Amazon.

Pull Back CarsThese Melissa & Doug cars are great for Teddy’s age range. All the other Melissa & Doug toys that we have are really well made and age appropriate.

LITTLE BOY EASTER OUTFIT IDEAS

Dress Shoes – Teddy has these SeeKaiRun dressier shoes that I’ll be pulling out for Easter. These min boat shoes are another really cute option that I’ve got saved from the next time he needs shoes. I also love these brown sandals for summer or if you live in a warmer climate than we do.

Seersucker Suiting – I mean, a little boy in seersucker is the cutest thing! J.Crew Factory has an entire seersucker suit that is adorable and available with either pants or shorts. I think that either top or bottom would be a cute addition to a little boy’s Easter outfit. Ted will probably end up with these shorts at some point.

White Polo – Teddy’s Easter outfit this year is going to be pretty simple but, I think it will still be really cute. I have a similar white polo onsie that he’s worn a couple of other times and it will be getting an encore this weekend.

Pre-Matched Sets – If you don’t want to deal with coming up with an outfit, there are plenty of options for pre-matched sets available through Nordstrom. This blue and kaki set is cute and simple. I also love this sweater vest set for older boys.

What I’m Wearing for Easter 2020

I’ll be pulling out a Gal Meets Glam Collection dress that I’ve had since last summer. It’s actually on sale right now if you want to twin with me. I’ll also be wearing these super comfortable chambray wedges that you can see on me here as well as this cardigan from this blog post.
