2021 Holiday Cards

I can’t believe we are already talking about holiday cards but it’s November, shipping is still messed up for everyone, and we are about to blink and be in 2022.

I’m actually doing something different when it comes to holiday cards this year. I’m going to opt-out of photo cards and just use regular cards and add a family photo.
Why?
Mainly because we have a giant storage tote in our basement that is full of holiday greeting cards that I couldn’t resist buying but have never used. This is the year those babies are getting used up!

But I didn’t let that fact stop me from looking at two of my favorite retailers for holiday cards and perusing their 2021 selection. I’m happy to say that for the most part, we are back to normal when it comes to card selection. Very few pandemic-related greeting cards this year.

So who are my favorite holiday card retailers? Minted and Shutterfly!

I love Minted for several reasons and have purchased holiday cards through them the past two years (we also did our wedding invitations through them). First and foremost, amazing quality. I’m always impressed by how nice the cards are and how well the image translates onto the card. Second, they have fantastic spelling safeguards in place. Last year a member of their team reached out to me to let me know of a typo that I didn’t catch before the cards went to print. I also think that Minted has some of the hands-down best designs when it comes to stationary. They work with independent designers to have fresh and beautiful designs. I’m partial to their postcard styles as it’s an all-in-one package (aka I don’t have to address envelopes).

Why Shutterfly? Shutterfly is my go-to for photo prints so naturally, it makes sense that their photo cards are just as good of quality. They are a bit cheaper than Minted so tend to be a better budget option plus they have regular sales and promo codes that will give you serious discounts on top of their already low prices. These cards tend to be a little more cheesy, a little more silly, but still a whole lot of fun.

Now with that in mind, here are the cards!

Another nod to a relatively normal year after the firestorm that was 2020.

Got to have some love to the fur-babies. Pets deserve to be in holiday cards too!

A call back to the 202o pandemic-themed cards we saw last year.
