Graduation Attire

Last Thursday I walked my final walk as a university student across a stage to receive my diploma. Of course as many of you probably know, I didn’t actually get my diploma but rather a piece of paper that said ‘Congratulation Class of 2015’ and will actually get the real deal in 4-6 weeks by mail but you know, the sentiment was still there.

This outfit doesn’t represent my school or my degree in any way shape or form but it makes me feel beautiful and confident. I firmly believe that dressing well can change your day and your attitude. I wanted to stride across that stage and command the presence of the 200+ people watching. Being who I am, a fluttering mid-length skirt, bow details, and heels did the trick. Sadly, few actually saw what I was wearing under the garbage bag traditional cap and gown but I felt my best, which is what counts.
